Most, if not all, ladies will never leave home without your handbag and naturally your handbag will be with you all day! So naturally, you would want it to match your outfit and other accessories. Not so long ago, that theory was easy and generally most women simply matched their handbag to their belt and shoes. They tended to play it safe. Safe was fashionable at that point. Today, the rules are different. Women are breaking every tradition imaginable and experimenting with colours and colour combinations beyond the ordinary which we know would have been unthinkable just less than a decade ago, like matching colourful handbags with colourful hoodies for a sporty or if preferred an elegantly casual look. Consider the occasion

Where you are going is almost always the first, and most important, consideration. It dictates your outfit. Despite the current experimentation in fashion that we mentioned above, there are two rules that really haven’t changed much:
  • If you’re dressing up, a sporty bag is a no-no (even if you’ve seen that done on the runway). Stick with clutches and smaller bags for an elegant event, like a wedding.
  • Elegant bags don’t mix well with super casual outfits like yoga pants! If you’re headed to brunch with the girls, why not try something different too.
